Help For PD

Stress, anxiety, and worry: Learn to retrain your brain and reclaim your power

In-Person Workshop (max participants 16):

September 28, 2024 10am – 1pm

Russell Sage College, Mueller Science Hall, Troy, NY

This workshop will include psychoeducation, small group and individual activities, and one on one feedback. There will be a 10-minute break every hour. This is a new workshop from specialist Terry Peca after she gave a wonderful talk at the Parkinson’s and women support group.

Topics will include;

  • The psychobiology of stress and anxiety.

  • Behavioral skills to self-calm and improve focus and emotional self-regulation.

  • Cognitive skills to understand and address fears that undermine effective coping.

  • Cognitive-Behavioral tools to enhance a sense of power and control in your life while accepting those things outside of your control.

  • Exercises and practices that can improve outlook, attitude, interpersonal functioning, and overall quality of life.
